What is Local Law 31 and how does it effect me?
Lead inspection laws (Local Law 31)

Requires landlords and owners of pre-1978 buildings in NYC to have all dwelling units inspected for lead using approved XRF analyzers

XRF testing must be performed by an EPA-certified lead inspector or risk assessor
-
Inspections must be completed within 5 years (by August 2025) or within 1 year for dwelling units where a child under 6 resides
